Just Thoughts today…

Some Thoughts:

  1. Big miss by the Giants in letting the Honey Badger land with the Titans. He would have made a very important piece for the secondary and now they are left with the same issues they had last season. The team could be considering solving the problem through the draft, but I suspect they think they are good with what they have. They are not. The group needs some changes and some straight up leadership to keep them humming in that DB room.
  2. UMBC didn’t just beat Virginia to become the first 16 to beat a 1. They beat Virginia. A 20 point whuppin. This was way past any possible expectations. Man I wish I’d bet on that one.
  3. Other NY adjacent moves: Hankins was released by the Colts who are switching to a 4-3. He is considered a 3-4 specific guy, but had his best years in NY under what was essentially a 4-3 base. That being said, he should be able to find a home again with the ‘Gints’ and offer some depth. They also should benefit from the move by the Jets to the 3rd pick overall. This prevents the Browns from taking Barkley at #1–provided they want the QB of their choice. The G-men (it’s nickname day here) need a young dynamic RB who wants to bring the pain. They need it bad.
  4. What I need bad is to regulate my caffeine intake at night and avoid these horrible morning Caffeine/dehydration headaches–if that is what they are.
  5. Having kids is a lifetime job. The relationship you have with your kids (or step kids) is critical to the relationship you have with your partner. Unfortunately in some cases you wind up being the one doing all the work, because they honestly don’t ever have to and often don’t really even want to.
  6. The added functionality to the house of beys website has proven to be a giant time suck and waste of money. Perhaps when I learn more about the new functions I’ll be able to get back to the base level of usability I was at before I had the pro software.
  7. I need a Zork runthrough. It’s been years and I just have that jones to play it again.
