4.276. On Still Not Wanting To Write

Just do it. Get off your whine-line and write some stuff down.

No, Seriously, that’s the entire argument.

Some Thoughts:

  1. So, I did it and it felt really good. It was very hard to get into the proper headspace and I wound up doing a good twenty minutes of fairly useless math concerning a specific minuscule issue in the writing. It helped. I felt accomplished to fix the math and moved on with a bit more self assurance. I believe that is an important part of writing.
  2. President Trump is a terrible and vindictive president.
  3. He surrounds himself with pretty young women he likes to stare at.
  4. At this point I’ve clearly deviated from anything resembling a coherent blog by launching into some thoughts, but the coherent part of the blog was quite straight to the point.
  5. I miss Peter King. I know he is still working, but it is not remotely the same. I feel like I’ll be talking a fair deal more about this tomorrow.
  6. King is the one who inspired some thoughts.
  7. I have written very little about my daily life in the time of Covid or about the way it is inspiring me as a writer. Perhaps that tale ought be told next week.
  8. I am in need of storytelling inspiration. I’m not being nearly as prolific as I could be.
  9. My high school was recreated on Minecraft and wound up being featured in the New Yorker. Yeah, it be like that.
