8.630. Waiver Wednesday

Been a while since I’ve written the wire. It isn’t because I stopped caring or even stopped having things to say. In truth wire talk leaks into every aspect of my writing lately. It means more because I’m talking about my kids and because there is real money on the line when it comes to fantasy. How is that different than any other year? I feel like I have a legit shot this season. I’m in 4th place at 4-2. Practically tied, if not for scoring 120 less than 3rd place. The other two teams are one game ahead and I’d been scoring really well up until recently. I am hitting a wall. This week is an expected loss. My qb is down and I’m starting Geno.. or McCarthy. I’m not in a healthy place at RB, so there is definitely room to worry. Still, I am far more competitive than I was last season, and that means I have a chance!

I have a better chance if my TEs show up. Mark Andrews has been useless. Sadiq isn’t giving me much more. I have Likely (my keeper from last season), but he’s experiencing the rollercoaster of NYG qbs. Still, even he is not enough. I’m slated to score 104 this week… and lose by 30. It’s the RB room! I need more production from those non-starters. That, or Breece Hall to come back.

Some Thoughts:

  1. Season isn’t on the line for the College kid, but they need a serious rebound win. Turns out they haven’t won on the road in something like 15 games. They get an SIU Salukis team that has a poor secondary. If they can throw the ball and clean up the drops from last week, they can win this away game.
  2. The Lady Talis asked why home and away games are so different. Could be a fun talk for tomorrow’s post.
